A prayer for the Class of 1972, West Branch High School, Beloit, Ohio, on the occasion of our 50th Reunion, August 27, 2022.

Dear Lord,
We pause tonight for a moment to give thanks for this food and to ask your blessing on our fellowship around these tables. But we have so much more to be thankful for.
Many of the trials and sorrows of life are represented by those in this room. Yet, we are here, and we thank you for the privilege afforded us to live to see this weekend, more than fifty years after we stood on the field together on May 28th, 1972.
We pause, also, to remember, to give thanks, and yes, also to mourn for those of our number who are now Warriors fallen, passed from this life much too soon. Thank you for what they meant to us. May we always keep them in our hearts. Bless their families we pray.
Thank you for the joys of remembering, reminiscing, and retelling the stories of our exploits. Thank you for friendships renewed and rekindled. Thank you that tonight we can celebrate the stories of our lives and families together.
Now, Lord, bless these my friends. Watch over and keep them through the years to come. Be their comfort in days of pain and sorrow. Remind us of your Presence all the days long—from glorious mornings to golden sunsets.

And now may the gifts You gave to us in each other, prompt us to remember the Great Gift you gave to us in your Son, for it is in His name we pray. Amen.
